Kickstands up at 10:30 from the Dunkin Donuts/Exxon on Rt. 22E in Lebanon.

SM Tires

Walter, Should I put knobbies on the DRZ or will Contiforce SM tires on a "small" bike be ok?

That's tough for me to answer. I hate riding my DRZ on the street with knobbies so I'm biased. If the Contis are already on leave them on. Worst is that you'll be traction challenged during some parts of the ride, but shouldn't be a matter of getting stuck.

Darn - no knobbies and no small bike. I'll have to catch up with you guys next time out unless you think I'd be ok with stock Metzelers on a R12GS?

The only question you need to ask yourself is "do I feel lucky?".

There's a chance parts could be muddy or at least pretty soft- not the ideal big bike on tourances scenario. Should be ok for Sunday's ride though if Frank does what I think he's planning.

Your ride is as long as you want it to be. We'll not be far from your neighborhood at any point in any case.

Ok thanks. I'll catch up with you guys on Sunday. Now I have an excuse to get a DRZ - the wife's not going to like this.

Looks to be about 52 miles.

I will be making the trip from the city, if you want to meet up and ride out, let me know.
