thanks

All, nice meeting you guys, although the ride wasn't quite what I expected (more off road) I still had a great time. The pace on the street was a bit quick for me. I guess Craig waiting for me (thanks Craig) resulted in both of us loosing the 'pack', but a bit of detective work and a lot of luck resulted in us crossing paths again. I'm looking forward to doing it again. 40 mi. out and back from Linden isn't really that bad if I'm not pounding off road the whole time, but more pounding would be nice. I ended up taking 78 back also. Thinking about it, it's actually safer than 22, and quicker.

Thanks again for welcoming me.

Great Ride- ended in mishap

I'll post the ride stuff later, but on our way home, OCF Rider and Orion were in an accident. Orion has a broken arm and Chris has 2 broken ribs and a broken collarbone. Jason and I were at the hospital with Orion and, other than the break and some soreness he was ok. I'll probably pick him up and take him home later tonight.

Chris was airlifted to Bethlehem Pa. Trauma Center as a precaution. I just got off the phone with him and he's doing ok other than the breaks. He's being kept overnight for observation. I spoke to his wife was was 20 minutes from the hospital and update her.

I won't discuss the accident online and encourage others to follow that advice.

Mishap

I talked to Orion on the phone and offered to pickup his bike for him, but he seemed to feel he had it covered. I have some video of the ride, but I'm not in the mood to work on it right now. Maybe tomorrow or Monday. Great ride--till the end.

Just got off the phone with Chris and Orion- both are doing ok and coherent: and both have family there. As I said before, Chris will be kept overnight as a percaution; and it looks like Orion will spend the night in the hospital as well, since they're waiting for an orthopedist to make a decision on operation vs just setting. Hope for the best.

damn!

sorry to here of your mishap. but please when you are up to it, do diseminate the cause of accident or conditions leading up to it. if its something that can be put out to a group of riders prior to a ride, like tomorrow, when i lead a group of however many down to lebanon, and it will save someone else the misery, then it would be worth it. god speed to a quick recovery. healing thoughts coming their way.

Dang fellas, I know we have this jersey versus north ga thing going on but you guys didn't have to ride so hard that 3 of you ended up in the hospital. I hope you guys have a speedy recovery and dirtysouth and family will keep you guys in our thoughts and prayers. Stay away from the jello while in the hospital, that stuff will make you fat.
