Thanks one and all. I hadn't cried about this yet, until reading this post. It was a GOOD cry. Thank you.

I'm laying in my hospital bed with my trusty Pocket PC, trying to stay connected to the world. Flipping thro wheel chair catalogs (my next sweet ride!) Trying to find info on trike bikes to get back into the saddle, etc.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am uplifted by every word.

Surgery is today at 5pm, Norfolk General Hospital. From there its a few weeks of inpatient PT, then home. Then court, then work, then new baby (coming August 5th) so i've got lots a lots of good and lots of scary to still face up to over the next few months.
If ya'll don't mind I'd like to blog my experiences here, despite my low post count, I've been with you folks for years and feel like this is my window into a culture and group of people that have, and can continue, to lift my spirit.

Always,
Dale

Dale, prayers sent your way. I don't think I could handle your situation as bravely as you seem to be. Stay strong.

Whew...

Dale, with a kid due in August myself, I can only fathom what you're going through.

I'll send some karma, peace and calmness your way...

Dale, we are with you... goods thoughts, prayers, the works. As long as you are flipping through the catalogs already, here's a little food for thought...

Lots of cool wheels out there... keep that positive going, and know that we are with you.

You got it, Dale. I can't imagine what you're having to go through and can only hope that things work out as well as possible. You certainly sound like a person of character. Concentrate on how many of us are pulling for you today and on how many people have you in their thoughts and prayers. Heal well, Dale.
