as someone just said, you are an inspiration to us all. life orders for us some crazy li'l dishes, and fortunately there are folks as strong as you who can take it in stride. i have not one doubt in my mind that you will continue to live a healthy and happy life.

it would be great if you (or someone you love) could post on this thread a picture of your smiling mug so that we may all throw it up on our screens as wallpaper. i truly believe in the power of healing through simple, pure, positive thought.

good on ya,

NC is not that far from VA, if there is anything we can do, do not hesitate to ask.

I can't even begin to imagin what you are going through! Though, as someone recovering from a nasty crash several months ago (my father crashed as well), I understand how fleeting life's moments can be and how quickly things can change. You have an amzing amount of support, understanding, good thoughts, kind words and love, all right here on Advrider! Please take advantage of it when you feel the need! We are all here for you! I'm glad you are around to continue life's journey!

Hang in there, and you will be in my thoughts.
O.K. Joke's over. You can bring back the constitution now. Please.

Dale, I'll be thinking about you today and sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. The only thing I would like to recommend that you do is to try to visualize your recovery. The power of visualization is remarkable. See yourself healing fully and walking again. Also remember that more than a few doctors have been surprised to witness the "impossible" come to pass.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am uplifted by every word.

Surgery is today at 5pm, Norfolk General Hospital. From there its a few weeks of inpatient PT, then home. Then court, then work, then new baby (coming August 5th) so i've got lots a lots of good and lots of scary to still face up to over the next few months.
If ya'll don't mind I'd like to blog my experiences here, despite my low post count, I've been with you folks for years and feel like this is my window into a culture and group of people that have, and can continue, to lift my spirit.

Dale, please DO share your experiences with us here, the good and the bad, the tough days and the joyful ones.
We will always be here with you and for you. Don't be afraid to lean on us. There are some simply amazing people here and I know each and every one of us has you in our thoughts today and will continue to.
Hang in there and let us know what we can do to help.
