I am psyched for this store! It's only 3 blocks from my garage, and should be open on Sunday. There are so many times I need some sorta tool or fastener to try something, and the only place near me is Lowes (which sucks) or Autozone, which is a hike (and, it also sucks).
I figure, anything I buy at HF is disposable, so with expectations that low, it's tough to be disappointed. I realize that all/most of their stuff is cheap China crap.

After having practiced them several times during MSS training classes I executed a full-on panic stop today on the FDR. A homeless guy decided he would stroll across 4 lanes on traffic on the commute home; he is probably as unhappy as I am about the UN being in session. In any case, I'm happy to say the training paid off. I tucked myself between the car in front of me and the barrier on the edge of the road to ensure I did not get rear ended and - I guess thru instinct - had down-shifted the bike into 1st gear and was ready to take off if the situation became a multi-car pile-up which thankfully it did not. Anyways .. be safe out there.

He's only a hobo if he rides freight trains, everybody knows that. Can't say "'tard" either these days.

If a homeless guy is commuting home, is he really homeless?

Hey folks,

Tomorrow night I'm having a little get together to celebrate the start of my adventure away from NYC.

I've invited some of you on facebook and email, but I know everyone doesn't connect that way.

Great to see some of you last night at the Ear, but more is always better!

Location: 40.736377,-73.955263
Wine and good food
About 7:30 - 10:30, Thursday 27 Sept.

PM me if you're coming so I can warn the establishment!
