My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

That's terrible news. I know he had an odd relationship with the ADV NYC gang, but he was one of ours.

RIP Jacknyc!

So awful, saw this last night and was hoping it wasn't him. We chatted a few times at the Ear, he seemed like a really great and interesting guy.

RIP

too much of a commitment to install the odyssey. flatten the cable ends. create alternate mount to hold it in place. i put the old one in and it started fine. just need to check the fluid after every other knock over or so.

@robfilms i heard, you don't know jack

Interesting

Francine pointed this out to me, posted in the comments to the CBS news article:

"bamstutz31 • a day ago
i witnessed the accident, along with my sister and 2 other people. It seemed that something may have happened to him prior to the crash, such as a stroke or a heart attack. It was just completely random...He wasn't avoiding an animal, he was only traveling about 25 mph. But it was clear that he was dead, We waited for 7 minutes until the police came."

In the photo, only his top case was broken off, not any damage visible to the bike. The road is dry. I guess when it's your time...

Kinda what people at work thought (after reading article in paper). I didn't want to comment on the cause of the accident, last time I did I got my ass chewed by some inmates

Roy, I can give you the positive and negative cables off the Tengai, they are setup for the Odyssey battery. If you still don't want the battery let me know and I'll pick it up on Friday after work.

If he did die of natural causes and that caused the crash, I could think of way worse ways to go. When I die I want it to be doing something that I love but from natural causes. Riding would be on that list, maybe rock climbing, or in a super model.
