MY KTM was not notarized and from PA and no one said a thing to me. The only thing they did was bang me for more tax than I should have had to pay. But given the circumstances I wasn't going to argue.

NY motorcycle inspection

I know this topic has been visited before but Ive been searching the thread and coming up short.

What local garages perform NY state motorcycle inspections. I called Queens Vespa and they are no longer inspecting motorcycles. Scooters only.

Thanks for the info in advance

I've used Vespa SoHo several times but sometimes they will refuse to do it if the showroom is really busy and they're understaffed. Meaning try not to go on a Saturday afternoon.

I've also used Aprilia/Moto Guzzi/Piaggio Brooklyn a few times with good results.

I've used them for the past three years but unfortunately they've closed shop.

Looks like VespaSoho's Brooklyn dealership, Carbon Negative, is still open. Don't know if they do inspections there though.

I've been getting inspections at Brooklyn Aprilia/Guzzi or Scooter Bottega, which is close to my garage. Always call first, because you never know if they will have someone who can do an inspection available.

I've been using Tri-Borough Motorcycles in Greenpoint for years for inspections and other work. Definitely give 'em a call ahead of time and don't expect to be pampered.

Also, I bought my last bike in PA and the PO and I went to what I thought was his insurance people for paperwork. I guess that was the notarization happening? And I had no problems with it at the DMV.
