I cant stand the attitude over at Tri-boro on Mcguiness Blvd. Their work is decent but it seems like Marc (the owner) could care less about your business. Went to them a few times. Never again. For inspections I usually get them done by my job in Nassau County but have had my inspections done at Kings Cycle on Utica Ave and Prospect Cycles on Coney Island Ave.

Dominic from D&M on Queens Blvd. is also usually willing to to them.
Funny about Tri-boro went in there once and he was an ass. My sister works at a par on the other side of the bridge and he goes there. One day bikes came up and she asked if he knew me, and he didn't. But she mentioned that he knows he can be a jerk at the shop, and a lot don't like him. But she said he is a nice guy outside of it.

Fuck Prospect don't waste your time, do go to Kings. Kings is fast and easy, no appointment needed.

What local garages perform NY state motorcycle inspections. I called Queens Vespa and they are no longer inspecting motorcycles. Scooters only.

Thanks for the info in advance
BMW of Manhattan inspects as well for $6.

I go to Brooklyn Vespa on Washington Ave and Park Ave in Clinton Hill/Fort Greene.

Marc @ Tri-Borough can be an ass, but he's come through for me in a pinch a handful of times when others were not able to or did not want to. Because of that, I usually go to him first.

Video speed traps...

Hey, you folks know anything about these traps in other states?

Was in DC with the son to see the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on the way to a soccer tournament in Richmond.

Just got in the mail a video speeding ticket for $100. 46 mph in a 35! On a disserted road. Doesn't really seem like speeding. No police officer with shred of pride would give that ticket.

Two questions:
1. Do these violations give you points?
2. Worth contesting from afar?

Brad? Jesse?

First off, it's "deserted."

To your question:

It's a "no points" ticket, because they can't tell who is driving.

Is it worth fighting? Well, maybe if you're a KLR owner who collects scrap metal for a living. If you're a doctor with a law degree, probably not -- even if you are a poor/lazy speller.

Thanks a lot!

p.s., if I had to spell, I never would have gotten through medical school. I plan on just sending the money, but seems like such an injustice! And the technology (lines painted on the street) seems SO easy to contest. Jeez, who gets a speeding ticket for 46 mph, when it's not a school zone?
