Ideas for an alternative route that might be more enjoyable than the turnpike, perhaps 295?
The NJ turnpike gets to get congested just south of exit 8A where the car and truck lanes merge back into one highway. There's also a lot of construction going on to expand the highway which can add to the delays. 295 should be a much less congested and you'll save a little bit on toll.

Thank you - I will keep that in mind and re-route accordingly.

SOUTH OZONE PARK — A woman walking across the Belt Parkway was struck and killed by a motorcycle just before noon Tuesday, police said.

The woman, who police said was in her 50s, was crossing the westbound lanes of the busy highway near Exit 17W at Crossbay Boulevard when a motorcycle rider hit her, police said.

The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man, was taken to Jamaica Hospital and in critical condition, the NYPD said.

The woman's identity was not released pending family notification, police said.

Who the fuck does that? Was she trying to kill herself? High on meth / bath salts?

Years ago, a guy I knew got stinking drunk and was taking the BQE home one night. The cops stopped him somewhere between Queens Blvd. and Broadway. Luckily, he was on foot and they yelled at him and gave him a ride back up onto the sidestreets...

Brooklyn Moto Garages

I'm thinking of moving out to Park Slope and would likely need to move my bike to a new garage. Any motorcycle garages anywhere in that vicinity that people know and like? I'm thinking something along the lines of Ryders Alley or Rising Wolf.

Thanks in advance.

You've got 2 choices, as far as I know. Not sure if either has a spot open...

I park at Vax... it's much bigger and has a lot more "stuff" (machine shop area, if you need it). Great place (I have no affiliation, just a paying customer). Justin's a fair guy (owner).

Thanks! That's exactly the info I needed (and the garage is close to the apartment I'm considering).

Guess I learned two things, one I live in a pretty safe neighborhood, and two, a clutch lever like this is a good deterrent, haha:

Happy St. Patty's Day!
I did the same thing with the same result ... And no trick clutch either.

Need Some Coolant

Hi all,

I'm in Midtown, and in need of Castrol Motorcycle Coolant. Any idea where I can find it? New to having a bike in the city.

Thanks a bundle.
