I'm sorry I just saw this post, nick2ny.
I would have lent you the Vespa LX150 for the test.

Any pro-tips? What's something she could fail for?

EDIT:

1. Will she be able to take the test on a bike with a Michigan Historic Plate?

2. If not, can she take it on a bike on a NYC Moped plate (I'd re-register it tomorrow, it's a Honda Cub with gears and pegs).

3. She's taken the MSF course on a full motorcycle (the Suzuki GZ250, which can exceed 40 mph), but the Cub doesn't exceed 40 mph. I would rather pay moped registration rates, but I don't want her to have to retake the test to ride a 40+mph motorcycle.

4. She doesnt have a car license. She has taken a 5 hour driving course, the MSF course, and then this road test. What am I missing here!?

RELEVANT DOCUMENTS:

Road test requirements

NYC DMV Motorcycle License info

New York License Endorsements

Why do we all live here again?!?!?

Thanks for this reminder. I've got some stuff that I've been meaning to put up on CL ... maybe I'll bring it by.

Just to note, the stuff I've got is a First Gear Kilimanjaro jacket (1st gen, if that nomenclature applies), Alpinestars summer jacket ('Alter Ego'?) Honda F4i brake calipers (like new - was gonna put 'em on my Superhawk but didn't get to it before the sale), valve shims (whole sets, minus the two I used/switched out) for a Honda Superhawk. Maybe more if I dig around.

You can definitely do parts. Announce them here, or preferably, here so that people can see beforehand.

Hey guys, who wants to play hooky on Friday? I'll be riding up to Max with a buddy (riding bitch) so he can take possession of his new F800R.

We'll be leaving Brooklyn around 8 or 9 or whenever I decide to wake up.

While I'm here, anyone have a nice route for us back?

I figure since we'll be in CT it would be nice to grab a boiled burger, anyone know of any good ones? The two I ate at previously are no longer around. :(

Shit, I'd love to. There's some stuff I'd like to pick up, but unfortunately I finally got an appt to get my Smart's ECU flashed for the fog lights and transmission program update tomorrow at 8:00AM.

Anyone got a bike for sale?

Howdy,

My girlfriend just got her motorcycle license and is looking for a bike.

Should be ~$1000, preferably more like $600 and needing a carb clean / battery type deal.

She's 5'2", so a Honda CB360-sized bike would be ideal.

Honda CB-style 350s-450s is probably going to be the best, unless you guys know of another sweet beginning bike for someone short.

Thanks!
