Don't try that in my 'hood. There is an undercover cop who patrols between Amsterdam and the HH Parkway between 125-135 and he has a hard on for bikes. He patrols in two unmarked cars, one dark metallic blue and one black, both made up to look like gypsy cabs. I have been pulled over twice by this guy for "lane splitting"(never cited or recieved a ticket since he has no real reason) near Fairway when there are actually no marked lanes and all the cages make it two lanes. He gives you a full tear down etc and is quite rude. I have seen him pull over several other bikes too.

The guy is a real reactionary.

You have been warned.

Do you have any idea how many backyard "mechanics" install electronic parts improperly? Then expect a replacement after frying the part.

Had a motorcycle accident yesterday. First off, I'm ok. An SUV changed lanes into me without signal or warning and pushed me off the road, and i rolled across the median into oncoming traffic. Luckily, I only made contact with his SUV and the road. Banged up and bloody knee, and a big swollen bruise on my left lower back. VStrom is probably toast. Helmet, gloves, jacket with padding and boots did their job. My knee would be much better off it I had worn my over pants. Gonna be hobbling around for a but and taking public transit.

Line of the night: woman in the ER asks us what happened to the other driver, Jesse: "he bought a motorcycle, slightly used"

Other driver stuck around and have his info to the PD. There were witnesses, but I don't know if any gave statements to the PD or contact info.

So what movies should I be watching today?

I was thinking the same thing, but that it would make me mad that I couldn't ride. Enjoy them anyways, great films!
