I was a bit dissapointed as well, but I got to sit on all the enduro and Adventure bikes I have my eye on Glad to see the show a bit more spaced out and bought some trailer straps from Condor. Said hello to Brad and ran into some fellow riders I havent seen in a while so not bad for a freezing Saturday.

Bike show

Show was alright... Would have been cool to see the Mission R electric bike, next to the Zero ones. KTM's booth was neat. Lots of people crowded around the BMW R Nine T. Great to meet the NYMSTF guys. Big question is: who will win the bike giveaways?!

With all the buzz, you'd a thought H-D would at least have had prototypes of the new piglets. Same for the new Triumph 250.

The car shows at least give you some idea of what's coming.

Speeding ticket

Got a speeding ticket on the LIE for 75 in a 50. I have a PA license so no points, but a $200 fine. Should I plead guilty or not guilty? Wonder if they might reduce the fine.

Where was the ticket, exactly?

If it was on Long Island (i.e., NOT Queens) then you can plea it down.

If it was in Queens, then there's nothing you can do. NYC doesn't allow pleads. It's either guilty or not.

It's your NYC tax, travel through and you have to pay every now and again.

It's a miracle that the LIE was clear enough to do 75 that close to the tunnel. And that miracle costs $200.

You should change your screen name now that you have the proof to back it up!

points don't transfer and my insurance has never budged after a NY ticket while living in PA
but.... they charge a yearly fee if your NY points are above x amount

This happened to me after a bullshit ticket on the Harlem River Drive and they were sending the bill for 3 years to my mother's address in Wurtsboro, NY which I haven't lived at since 1993. The bills were getting thrown out until the 3rd year when my brother saw one and told me.
Got it resolved but technically my right to drive in NY had been taken away after the 2nd year and who knows what what have happened if I were pulled over for even a light out in that time.

Fuckers
