Yeah, that video made the rounds a couple years ago. You thinking about doing a track day?

Actually, I think that Walter Barlow updated the map, so there is one less excuse now for finding new tags. In fact, he even has supplied a couple of NY Times references with a bunch of tags that haven't been done.

Why We Ride

Anyone want to go to the showing of Why We Ride tomorrow for free? I got two tickets but because the event was rescheduled I can't go now. PM me and I'll send you one or two of the ticket PDFs - I don't want money for them.

12 O'Clock Boys - Opens this Friday - 1/31

Opens this Friday - 1/31

12 O'Clock Boys
Premiering to critical acclaim at the SXSW and Hot Docs Film Festivals, 12 O’CLOCK BOYS provides a compelling and intimate personal story of a young boy and his dangerous, thrilling dream. The 12 O’Clock Boys are a notorious urban dirt bike pack in Baltimore — popping wheelies and weaving at excessive speeds through traffic while impressively evading the hamstrung police.

Showings at AMC 25 in Times SQ and at the Angelika

Thumbs down

I saw a couple of these idiots near Marine Park last Sunday. They ran 2 red lights jumped on the sidewalk and then headed against traffic.

It's a damn shame these idiots are glorified. All they do is make life more difficult for us legit guys.

I have not seen and won't pay to go see it. But I heard the director on NPR and it was not glorifying at all. It was about the choices this boy makes, and not always the right choices.
Sounds interesting, but the kids are the street will emulate it versus taking the meaning.

I want to see it. As good, law-abiding motorcyclists, are we supposed to be boycotting it?

After 6 years in NYC, I still find it funny that the NYPD will crack down on people having a beer on their own front stoop… but these ATV/dirt bike incidents seem to go unpunished. Maybe we aren't seeing enough reports on the arrests that happen? If you did this in Ottawa, a SWAT team would show up. Then again, they don't get as many interesting calls up there...
