I am all for the noise part, if there was some sort of true limits, not just a guess of what is "revving" I rock climb almost every weekend in Mohonk and right below the cliff is the notorious U-turn on 55. All I hear are the bikes of all flavors and then I hear people bitching about it.
Loud pipes lose rights, so let's enforce it.

They removed all of those signs.

The law says "The use of vehicle horns is illegal, except as a warning in situations of imminent danger. "
So yeah honk if you are about to be hit, but don't be an ass and honk the second the light turns green.

This NY Times article about the new laws has some interesting comments, like pedestrians complaining they're being targeted.

I find one especially interesting by the councilwoman handling Ft. Green and Prospect Heights, Laurie Cumbo.

Seems she is only concerned about certain of her constituents being locked up.

Will hitting large potholes and raised manhole covers, causing a bike to leave the ground, be considered a wheelie? Is this another fund raiser for the city?

I guess the city isn't going to like it when I jump those speed humps. But they're just so irresistible!

Well, crap. That's how I get in front of cabs when the light turns green, after I've filtered up while it's red, of course.

Wait. A NYC driver actually did that?! He must've just moved here from Utah.

All of these new rules have always been punishable via "reckless driving" tickets.

Parking tickets NYC

Well ... I try and pay most of the time . Sometimes I leave it to luck .
Anyway , my question is I have 3 tickets from last year and 1 this year . I have not paid . They obviously go up . What happens when ya don't pay ?
Do they get you at dmv come registration time ?

to my knowledge and experience no they don't. it is my understanding that they can nab any vehicle registered in your name when you do owe though. so the 4 tickets on your bike could get your car nabbed while the wife was out getting groceries one day type scenario.

I do not own a car ;) ... I suppose if i were to get pulse over then they could run the plate . Hmmm - such a pain in the arse that you cannot share a tiny spot and not pay. All these blue bikes everywhere - and what do we get - zilch . Wake up NYC - time they allowed lane splitting - etc
Muni meter cops doing there job I suppose .

So I'm back to work in NYC after being out of work since cage accident in late 2011. (was hit head on by a drunk - who was under insured, and driving the wrong way, but he died)
Anyway, I now have confirmed (U fine folks already know) that free parking in NYC sucks balls!

Used to be, hmm 8 + years back, that you could find a spot, for cage, in a reasonable amount of time. No mas.

Just really sucks and finding a legal spot without those Fcuking muni meters for a moto is just as bad. NYC really needs to do a better job for moto parking. Pipe dream I guess....
