Thanks guys for the replies.

Brad, I called the one in the bronx but no one answered, I'll try again tomorrow. Black would be perfect since I'm also painting the parts in black.

Cyberdos, I'll give them a call tomorrow. I had the frame painted at Dave Finn custom bikes but he moved.

Thanks again.

BTW, I have some Sutar (Sweden) waterproof 12V sockets for sale if anyone needs some. I'll let you know what model #s tomorrow.

John...do you have the male or the female. Until I can install auxiliary fuse block in the Uly, I've been powering the GPS using the car speaker adapter but it's not weatherproof and it's only a matter of time before I destroy it.

I've put a WTB in the flea market...trying to find a broken car speaker adapter so I can shorten it and install a waterproof cigarette plug adapter.

By the way...anyone have a broken car speaker adapter for the Garmin 2xxx series Streetpilot?

I bought mine from Touratech. Cheaper than most places and they had it in stock!

Hey Bobby...how ya feeling?

I'm just using it as a stop-gap until I hardwire the GPS, so I'm looking for a broken one that I can shorten and install a weatherproof cigarette accessory plug.

I don't wanna buy a new one just to hack it up.

Syosset is a pretty upscale town. I am guessing the average home is well over a million. Any business hotel on Long Island will be safe and boring. Nassau Coliseum is maybe 30 minutes from NYC and has a hotel wth a nice bar next door.

I think it's finally breaking. Hopefully, I'll be able to ride this weekend.

The hardwire is what I was talking about. $30 or so everywhere. I ordered mine from Touratech while I was ordering a bunch of other stuff.

John an old friend owned a powdercoating business. He sold it but it is still around and in Hicksville. Not sure about the quality and prices anymore but when John owned it shit was done right.

Got in touch (finally) with a place in Rockland. I will gather all my parts and drop them off for a quote. Brad, let me know if you want me to pick up your bracket on my way home. He does Matte Black, Semi-gloss and High-gloss. It doesn't matter to me which one we use so pick one. He said it takes about a week because he has to throw it in with a batch of other parts to make it inexpensive.

Lemme know.

Thanks John. I need the plug, not the jack.

The light bar hasn't arrived yet. It might come today. Please don't hold up your stuff on my account.

Thanks.

Brad

Krylon is NOT an approved Kawasaki paint

I already painted all the plastics w/Krylon Fusion and most of the metal parts with Rust-o-leum.... I just want to get a few parts powdercoated so they can take the abuse.
