Forget whether the trucks are in Red Hook or Williamsburg.

Anybody have any favorites or recommendations? Any to beware of?

In Bushwick all we have are the delicious Chimi trucks

Being that it's Saturday you are probably talking about the Latino food trucks in Red Hook by the ball fields. Try one of everything. They're amazing!

I saw them on a Anthony Bourdain TV show, he was a big fan of the food trucks, I must get down there this summer.

Interesting. Looks like it is two doors down from Vespa Queens. Maybe I'll go check it out later...

I stopped there today and spoke with the co-owner, Steve.

The shop is right next to Queens Vespa and two blocks from New York Honda Yamaha.

They have some nice Dainese jackets, one-piece suits, gloves, boots, a few helmets, a small selection of basic things like replacement grips, etc. Mostly race/performance oriented gear and a some adventure stuff like skidplates. Not huge, at least not right now. All at MSRP.

They also have a shop in the back.

EDIT: They just added themselves to the NYMSTF shops map. Go check out their description.

Turned out the place we went to was in Williamsburg, and not food trucks, but a farmers market and food stalls at River Park.

I had a pork huarache which was great: spicy pork, salad, cheese, and guacamole on a huge handmade soft tortilla made right before your eyes. Great meal for $6. Plenty of drink vendors including home made sodas, juices, etc. Artisanal beer would have been nice, but didn't see any beer for sale. Lots of great home made ice cream and other desserts to top it off. Also plenty of other meals to eat, including home made sausages and other meat items.

The other nice thing was the location, right on the waterfront across from Manhattan, with million dollar views and nice breezes off the water. To the right of it is a little grassy park to sit down and watch the passing ships and enjoy the view. Unfortunately, I got kicked out because there were no pets allowed and we had our dog with us. Hey, I would have cleaned up after him, really.

Interesting place, great day.

I've heard about the trucks at Red Hook and that's a destination for another day.

Brad, thanks for the report on Primoto. Didn't get there today, but I'll have to check them out just to see what they have.

What an asshole. There's a reason for the "passenger cars only" signs.

Don't be a squid.. gear up. And have respect, please, or you could get killed. It might be "upstate" but there's still traffic.
took a ride out to PA and found some roads that make those look like an interstate highway. PA125 and Goldmine road.

thank me later.

only posting this publicly because i know it's too far for most people to attempt it on a dayride...150mi just to get to the start.

this vid isn't me (it's an fz600) and the guy parks it in the corners yet inexplicably tries for triple digits in the straights. elevation changes don't show up so well on this but think of it like the threads on a screw...180degrees and UP UP UP.

PA 125 South out of Shamokin, again, not me and thankfully this guy speeded up the vid. good parts are at 3:04(mountain section) and 5:30ish (valley section)...it just alternates between mountain-valley-mountain-valley.

PLEASE don't show videos of you braking the law, is clear in the first video that you hit speeds of over 90mph in a peaceful country road..

BAD example, please don't put this wonderful site to at risk with your criminal speeds videos, very childish of your part.!
