Maybe. What's in it for me?

Just kidding, I'm stuck at work. Last time this happened, someone had tried to jimmy the ignition, but then, if I recall, the key wouldn't turn.

I assume you have tried to jiggle the handlebars and bump them gently post to post? And they're not under tension?

My guess is saving a few bucks in towing and repair bills
Sending you guys a PM

PM sent.
My guess is that the front tire got hit and the steering lock pin got bent. La Donna said her cover was torn up a bit, so it sounds possible it got knocked over. Bummer.

Thanks, John. I just spoke with her. Kelamity and she were out there with JD on the phone trying to troubleshoot, and it's still stuck. Latest plan is to use AMA to tow it to JD's. What's weird is that it wasn't stuck when she unlocked it this morning to ride to work, then when she got uptown she parked and locked it, saw a better parking spot, went to unlock and then it was stuck.

It'll get it sorted out.

Ok, got her message.

Sorry, I got pulled in to a meeting that should've taken 20 mins.

Glad to hear she's getting it looked at by a Pro.

Most likely it has to do with the weather (yesterdays rain, maybe???). I know that my locks start acting up after some humidity.

All right, WTF! I WANT TO SCREAM!

I just went to get to Vespa Soho to get my Duc inspected.
"Sorry, we don't do inspections here anymore. Try Vespa Greenpoint"
"Why not?"
"We stopped doing them this year"
"Why?"
"You need a licensed inspector."
"I'll try Ducati Soho"
"They don't do inspections either.. Well, maybe with an appointment."
"Is there any place in Manhattan where I can get an inspection"
"Oh yeah, go to cycle therapy, 125th st."
"Greenpoint is half the distance!"

ten minutes later, at Ducati Soho...

"Hi, I'd like to get my DUCATI inspected at your, you know, DUCATI SHOP."
"You'll have to make an appointment downstairs."
"Is the inspection different this year? Still just looking at turn signals and horns?"
"There's more to it than that."
"Oh right. And glance at the tires."
"... There is now a $10,000 fee if the inspection is done on the street or by someone who is not licensed to look at turn signals and tires"
"That must kill you, wheeling bikes downstairs into your shop, having a tech check them out, and getting paid just $6."
"Yup."

So I go downstairs...

"Hi, I'd like to make an appointment to get an inspection"
"Sure. Let me have your name and contact information."
"No thank you. Please just tell me when my appointment is."
"July 19th is our first opening."

WHAT THE F*CK

Damn, that sucks!!! Well you saved me the grief of driving into the city w/o an inspection sticker, I guess I'll get it done somewhere in my neck of the woods.

On another note, be careful out there.... oh wait, being careful has nothing to do with fate (Right Juanjo) You see that strip in the middle of the road????

They're pretty backed up there - I had to wait a month to get new termis installed. Just go to Vespa Greenpoint and have a beer at Spritzenhaus while you wait.

No kidding. My Cub is registered in Michigan, with no inspection, for the rest of my life and it cost $35.

I hope you like big pics.

Nice cub. I just sold mine -- couldn't get the brakes and suspension to comply well enough with my fat ass.

I bet the suspension was happy to comply.

Last week I rotated the lever on the front drum one ridge on the spline, and now the front brakes are awesome.
