Jolly,
Want real? Check www.dakar101.com. for the photo of Chris aboard the 640 on the podium and the stroy of how they got there. In this life, it doesn't get any more real than that.

Well isn't that something else? Here I am in Edmonton, which seems to be a hell of a lot closer to Austria than B.C. and I'm still awaiting my 640A. When did you get yours?
Enjoy!

It took three months exactly to get mine in Ontario, ordered in February and just brought it home Saturday, customs was holding things up. I posted a pic in another thread.

Here is mine, taking in a cool one in Mexico.
And another. Come to think about it. It seems to stop at all watering holes.

Every other shop around here in Western Canada has them in except the place I'm picking it up from. Supposed to be enroute from Quebec but we will see. Its been one disapointment after another with this dealer. Customer service is shite. Saved $600.00 on the MSRP but I guess you get what you pay for.
Leaving on a trip up to Deadhorse and Inuvik in two weeks. I'll be pressed to get it in shape for the trip in time. Might have to take the trusty KLR again. Sorry guys.......venting.
