These dunes are in Morroco around Merzouga, close to the Algerian border and really good fun to play around in....

Begs a what happened next question?

1) He bounced off a rock.

2) He was attacked by a giant sand worm.

3) He was abducted by a band of nubile marauding belly dancers.

4) He was abducted by aliens.

5) Have you checked the bleeping index thread?

Sounds awesome.

These have been some wonderful pictures. I'll toss in a few.

Highway 96 between Kirkland, Az. and Hilltop, Az.

Date Creek Rd. outside Congress, Az.

Here's a shot taken in my front yard.

How long have you had those Ortliebs?....they look different and bigger than the ones Ortlieb offers now.

only had the bags for a couple of months now.... mine are the bicycle bags (not the Motorcycle type) and are current product, although the brochure states 40L... I reckon that's the 2 combined!

I carry a 2man Bibler tent, H/D foil blanket, sleeping bag, pillow (and bottle of wine) in one and odds and sods in the other - they hold a shed load and pack down as the load is 'consumed', so I ride out like a granny... and ride home like an idiot...

can post some detail pics tonight if that helps...

Im also running with the Ortlieb setup using the orginal ktm pannier rack to keep a distance between exhaust and bags...

The duffle bag on top holds all the sleeping gear and tent...

Cool aye! Its an KTM SXC exhaust (not the supermoto), I think the dunes also contribute to the akoestic effect

Well that explains why I couldn't find them....didn't look in the bicycle section. Yea....the specs say 40L for the pair...which is 7L less than the motorcycle specific set.

I just received a set of Wolfmans new saddle bags, which are similar to the Ortleibs....they look good out of the box, but I've yet to try them on the bike...time...
