Acerbis 6.6 gallon RFS fuel tank...

I ran across this thread over at KTMtalk. Looks like an inexpensive answer for folks wanting the ability to have tons of fuel on tap on a 400/450/525.

I get exhausted just trying to burn the MXC tank at 3.4 gal,,, and that's with 3 sec squirt time!!

Arch, do you have the Honda diaphram that reduces squirt time on your bike?
If so has it changed throttle response?

I'm running JD jetting and it does seem to fill the bowl fast.

Yeah - But it sure is a blast! Riding all day on the 525 is a work-out for sure...If only I could find someone that builds comfortable seats....

Sure do, James, but I did it right after buying the thing and don't really have a feel for how it ran on the stock diaphragm. My bud's MXC has the JD kit like mine, but doesn't have the diaphragm mod. On fill-ups he always takes on more fuel (on the same rides) than I, but it could be down to the more aggressive MXC gearing, his heavy hand, whatever. So who knows if that's a valid comparo. I will say that my modded FCR carburetes perfectly, though.

You'll have to pull over for an oil change before you run out of fuel

Gotcha,, I may have asked you this before because it sounds familiar,,, I have the Honda diaphram here so I should give it a shot.
I tried the Boyeson cover and did'nt notice any differences...
