Canadian KTM Adventure Camp Aug 18, 2006

Rally Connex is pleased and excited to announce that Scot Harden and KTM North America Adventure Tours will be conducting a special "Canadian" version of his popular Dakar Rally Experience. This is an event you should not miss!! If you are interested and would like more information about the event please contact us at dre@rallyconnex.com.

Cost for this years one day DRE Canada will be $150.00ca and is limited to 25 riders.

ONE DAY ADVENTURE CAMP OVERVIEW

Accommodations:
Rooms are available at the start location, the Sportsman Lodge. Rates are as follows.
Sunday thru Thursday nights $65.00 /person/night plus taxes. Friday and Saturday nights $70.00/ person/night plus taxes. These rates include breakfast and dinner each day.
Call 1-877-708-8882 to book, mention the Rally Connex Nickel Belt Tour when making your arrangements.

M/C Preparation/Other Requirements:

" Your motorcycle must be a street legal/licensed motorcycle and you must have proof of insurance.
" Your motorcycle must be capable of at least 185 Km's on a tank of gas.
" We highly recommend knobby tires (especially for the 950s and other large Dual Sports)
" GPS is required.
" Your bike should be properly prepared for an event of this type. There will be very limited support along the way. You will need to carry the proper tools and spare parts to fix most problems along the trail. Flat tires could be a problem on the large displacement dual Sports. Make sure you carry at least one front and rear tube and sufficient air bottles to change two flats.
" Weather could be a factor. Rain could be a factor. Temps could easily reach down into the 30's. Our camps run rain or shine. Pack accordingly; check the Weather reports for the area prior to departure.
" Water and Food. There will be many hours spent on the trail. Everyone should be equipped with a hydration system and trail snacks.
" First Aid. It's always a good idea to carry first aid supplies including gauze, bandages, antiseptic spray, and aspirin/ibuprofen.

Heard a lot of good things about last year's school. Good one for those who can't get to a Jimmy Lewis class.

For those of you on who missed out on the East Coast Adventure Camp and want to experience the KTM Adventure experience the Canadian Ride will be the last chance for us easterners to do so. There are 25 spots available and I'm sure that they will go fast. I rode this event last year and it was awesome to say the least. See you there.
