Right now I'm running a 175 main (FCR-41 carb), but the plug looks a little lean. I'm going to go one or two jet sizes up. As for the insert, it is a straight-through pipe. If someone tried to stick something into it, it would keep going. There is no bend or screen in the insert, so it would not pass a sparky test. Good thinking though! I'm sure you could always rig up a screen in the insert somehow...

You have to do some searching to find it. Search for "taillights" under the category drop down menu. I got Part No: 07-5000B for mounting to the license plate. They also have a swivel base mount one. Looks like they are $33.50.

Thanks! That could be useful. It looks like it has more LEDs than the cheapo Baja Designs one. You could even use two, one below the other.

Yep, absolutely! If you're just looking for bright LED's, check out Custom Dynamics. They're more expensive, but they are smaller and brighter. I used them on my last bike and really liked them. I went with the one from Targa this time because it was cheaper and mulit-function.
