front brake squeel

any suggestions on fix for 06 1200gs? cleaning roaters hasnt helped, maybe different pads?

Don't replace the pads, take it in to the dealer. There's a service bulletin on this one, telling the dealer how to remedy the situation.. I'm sure someone else will chime in with possibly a copy of this service bulletin.

I just had the update done today, takes less than an hour and no charge.

I had the update done on my 2005. Prior to thje update brake squeal was terrible -- regardless of whether I braked hard or easy. After the update braking is silent. My dealer (Shreveport Motorsports) took care of the whole thing as a warrenty item. The update consists of putting fiber spacers between the disk and the wheel to dampen the vibrations. It works GREAT!

Thanks from here too! Mine only squeeks at very slow speeds to a stop. Doesn't bother me much, but it makes others look to see who's making the noise.
