XT 660 Z Tenere and wind up

Hi,

I was quite excited when I did testride the new Tenere, but... having one of those Arai Tour X3, I found that there was quite a lot of wind that was coming from the fork opening.

Like enought to make the tip of the visor rumble at 60km/h and at 80 it was the whole helmet vibrating, which leads me to the conclusion "will I be able to stay on that for hours with the helmet in such turbulances".

Well, maybe one or two Tenere's owner could give me advices on that, or maybe they mounted some protective plates on the fork (such as I've seen on some KTM 950 Adventure) to reduce the wind coming from down there.

Thanks a lot for your help

hey thanks for the very accurate answer :)

did you fit one of those on your Tenere? does it help a bit or is it THE solution? cause aside of the lack of power and this little issue I found the bike perfect

Your welcome. ;) Haven't tried myself since I'm not very troubled by the turbulence but those who have say it makes big improvements, SingleMinded claimed the problem was totally eliminated with the birdcomb.
