Thanks for the photos!
I recently had the bearings replaced for the second time (before I'd seen Guy's work) by Phil Kingston at Euro Classics (UK).
Clean job though no grease nipple or proper replaceable fit for bearings at 80.

Next time the bearings need replacing I'll know where to go.

Hey HPMGuy,

Can you replace / rebuild the u-joints for an R11XX series driveshaft, R1150GS in particular in my case?

Soon........I am getting a lot of calls requesting the rebuilds on the later models. Not only are the joints failing, but for the crowd with the heavy right hand, the damper section is spinning also.....it's not just the CHP guys anymore.....

HPMGuy,

Your attached picture in post 1 is gone, (due to previous server limitations). You might want to add some pics, or ask if you can use the pics posted in post #44

Mines still great too. I have a r100gs one that's done about 15,000km I think. I re-greased at 10,000km and all was well.

G'day, I've only just discovered this thread, mainly because I went looking for info on K1100 drive shafts.
I had a shaft failure on a '93 K1100 yeasterday, pulled it apart today and discovered that the universal joint had failed, with the obvious results

Do you do relacement shafts for my model? preferably heavy duty as it's pulling a sidecar.

Thanks.
Clancy
