Finally, KTM Factory High fender kits!

KTM just announced their own High fender kit. Of course won't be available until June but it's complete and comes in black or orange. I'm guessing it's the same as what comes on the Super Enduro.

Oh, as for price sit down it's about $350! but at least it should fit...

I notice that in the aforesaid photo it shows a single brake line... The pia of the high guard has been routing the second line. I was hoping the setup off the 950sm might be of more use with its t piece under/above the lower triple clamp thereby obviating the need for twin lines to the master cylinder.

The reason a single brakeline only is shown is because the image is of a 950R SE. Notice the different oil sump, radiator guard, frame, lack of low fuel tanks, etc.

Wonder if this setup is compatable with the H-B crash bars? Thanks Don.

then i'm guessing its not the same as the SE... My point was that there seems little in the SE thats appropriate for the adv.

Good news. But I wonder what kind of announcement it is. On this side of the pond the official KTM sources don't show or know anything about it...

The photo is of the SE, I simply posted it to show what it will probably look like if they are using the fender etc. from the SE.
We received notification of the kits being available today (which means that there is now a part number, not that they are actually in stock) We've ordered a handful (the ETA is 6/16/06 if memory serves). The kit comes with fender, fork guards, brake lines and needed hardware.
Hope this clears things up a bit...

I rolled my own last weekend from Osteo's excellent parts list and have related problems.

1. The right side brake line is at least 4" too long. I'll have somebody locally
cut it shorter and reterminate into a 45 degree banjo.

2. There is no upper fork support. I was thinking of tie wrapping a very small caribiner to the upper fork leg to offer some support and low resistance path for the line to move through.

3. There is no fork protector support. I might drill two holes for a tie wrap attachment and cut a grommet in half to go over the brake line.

4. Brake line support over the rotor. I bent one of the left side supports until I had a pretty good support.

5. The fender I have is not vented and has minimal clearance with the radiator shroud.

Any ideas of how you guys have tackled these and other high fender mount issues much appreciated.

1) My right hose is a bit long. but I just have it loop up before plunging down - seems fne.

2) I bought a second guide, modified it, cut it and the original in half and pop-riveted them to the fender.

3) I just drilled two small holes in the 85SX guard and used a ty-wrap.

4) I bought a left support and modified it to work.

5) I drilled my fender, though many don't seem to think its necessary.

I'll look to see if I have photos of any or all of the above - if not I'll try to take some later.

Amount of loop in my brake line

A couple observations...

1) Ain't technology grand?!?

2) Any ideas on where I can obtain just a face for my tach - I don't feel like spending $200+ for a tach while mine works fine and the face is so easily exchanged (if I could find one)
