Best way (fun and relatively safe) I've found to scrub off the mold release compound (MRC) of new tires is to head out to the MSF range and ride the ERC "peanut" exercise for 15 minutes. Ride it progressively faster -- say 5 laps at 12 mph, then 5 at 15, and continue till the chicken stipes are gone. Then turn around and repeat the process in the reverse direction.
Alternatively for those who prefer to remove the MRC in the safety of their garage is to put 60 grit sandpaper on a palm sander and remove enough rubber from the outer tread so that the mold pips are sanded off the carcass. Then go hit the twisties with out worry. MC Consumer News ran an eval of various other ways to remove MRC last winter.

Yeah, that magazine used to be useful for something. Now it's as bad as all the other rags, this reminds me why I didn't renew my subscription. MRC?

One reasonable heat cycle and your tires are good to go. I break my tires in on a nice 15 mile loop from my house. By the time I reach the top of the hill (less than 10 miles), you can lean the bike as far as you ever will.

Noticed when I was playing I was not getting over and dragging the pegs like I do most days. Hmmmm I need to pick it up a bit. Hit the next curve and set up for a nice sweeper to the left. Hang off the bike abit and get ready for some sparks when the tires let go. A low side on my left. Bent bars, broke bar end weight, smashed hand guard and Givi bar ginder.

Anakee problem? I'm starting to think so. No peg grinding until bike control was lost. Looking at these tires with the bike on the side stand it looks like I'm on the last bit of contact patch on the rear tire. . . .

Thoughts?
