Oz waz where do i find out about the high guard kit looked every where on net lately. Also what sort of tyres you running, is there much room between the knobs and that front guard.
Had a mate in Cooktown recently (GAV) he was working out at walaby Ck doing some alimac rise mining. they were staying at the Lions Den Hotel. You live In a great place I havent been up there since the 80's MIKE

Howdy Mike,
Yes I did the cheapo , high guard conversion. All I used was, Super Moto front guard. SX 85 fork protectors (bit of hole enlarging needed). Plastic clamps to hold brake line and speedo wire to the fork protector. Decided that it was ony going to cost a bottle of brake fluid to try one disc, and it seems to work OK. Still can stand the bike on its nose on the tar , and I think it is better on the dirt. Got a spare disk , and pads now too Tyres, Front is a Dunlop D908 , great off road , a bit scary on road. Will try a Dunlop 606 front next time. Rear Dunlop 606 , good all round tyre. Am just about to replace it with a Michelin AC10. Only reason for changing to the Michelin , is I got a good deal on one. Also like to swap and change with tyres , good to try them all out for yourself, I recon.
