I forgot who asked ref the high guard, Yes a Dalby Moto kit, came as part of the Adventure kit they have, springs exhaust and carb.

Ref the tape, I have been doing it since i got a new YZ125G in late 1979. Keeps the plastics new, do it my daughters bikes as well.

I'm pretty sure I got 9 litres into it and that I could have put more in had I held the bike vertical rather then leant over on the stand.

I bought it last year and can't recall exactly how much I paid but think it was around $180. You can check the below site. The picture they have is of the tank mounted on a 640. I mounted mine a little differently.

Is that 9 real litres or 9 petrol pump litres

Looking for advice on a side stand for a 06 adventure. I know you can get the sw mototech from the states, but I reckon its a bit exy at $200. Are there any other options?

For a brand new sidestand, that is on the cheap side of things. Also did that include postage? I recall looking into it when I wanted mine and the postal charges from the States was way too much.

Picked mine up locally - www.norrus.com.au still paid a bit more than that. Definitely well worth it. The sidestand is one of the best things I've put on my 640.

At least with the SW Motech stand you can keep the centrestand without having to modify the KTM sidestand to fit.

With the KTM sidestand you can't run the centre stand at the same time. Have a look in the 'sticky' at the top of the THUMPERS page. There is a mine of information there - search and you will find.
