H&B Gobi Top Case - Still Waiting...

I remember when Don L. from Scuderia first introduced his accessory website KTMtwins a few months back. He had just received some of the new KTM Topcases that match the side ones that come with our 950's.

I had a gift certificate from another KTM dealer and wanted a topcase so I ordered from them figuring they could get them pretty quickly since Don already had a few available. That was 3 months ago and I still don't have my case. KTM has recommited these cases 3 times since I ordered mine. Along with the case, I ordered the mounting plate, backrest and the hook/strap mounting hardware. The dealer has those parts and offers to send them to me not realizing that they serve no purpose without the topcase. KTM is now telling my dealer it will be June 5, 2006 before they ship.

Adventure Top case with an internal volume of 42 liters. Durable poly-resin shell, two external handles for easy lifting, and two brushed steel clasp and key locks.

For mounting you also need the bracket 60012027450. Backrest 60012027452 and inside pocket 60012027453 are available as options.

Fits all 950 ADV.

part #: 60012027400

Sorry for the rant...

Hi!

i have that case on my 950, you bought a very good topcase!
mine is the silver version, cause i`m living 30Miles away from Hepco&Becker (they made it for KTM, they are in germany) and bought it there directly (also have silver gobi sidecases)

I have this case and it is the best thing since sliced bread and ball point pens. Plenty of room and looks like it came off of a Bradley tank, great for carrying my magnum condoms and beer. Got it at Scuderia, which is awesome I might add.

bummer about the delay. sometimes the price of dealing with european parts...

g'luck. you know the KTM soft rear LC4 case is a fantastic bag which might get you by in the meantime.

i have a standard Givi on mine (used the touratech adapter plate). works great, looks eurotrashy.

Hepco & Becker makes the case for KTM. The only difference between the one you can purchase direct from H&B is the little KTM badge on the back of the case.

If you want the KTM badged case, you have to buy it from KTM and wait for it. If you don't care about the badge, then the H&B plain top case will work fine, after all, it's the same case.

For me, it's about the look of badge primarily because I am sick over that little orange thing ....

There IS a difference in color (per previous comments). HB=Silver, KTM=Grey
