In case anyone cares - there were two shades of orange on BMW 2002's. The slighty lighter shade is "Colorado" and the darker shade is "Inca". The inka shade is closer to KTM orange and therefore faster. If anyone would like to personally verify this they should buy my autocross prepared '73 inca 2002 which is for sale.

Could be right,
i know that the color names here in the EU (europe) where difrent as in the USA also the type names where diffrent, my guess is that the (original )orange, here named Henna and in the usa called inka. The henna colour is the one that they used on there Jagermeister racing BMW's

Come to think of it, my high school colors were orange and black, and I'm one-half Austrian ... What could it mean?

I live in Denver, Colorado, home of the Denver Bronco's football team and there training camp is nearby my work and home. Their colors are orange and blue, and I ride an '06 S, orange and blue.
I also painted my helmet to match the bike. I was at a shopping center a few weeks ago and two guys walked by as I was dismounting. One said, "Wow, you're not a fan of the Bronco's, are you!?!?" I said, "No, haha". I am not really a football fan, but they thought I was being sarcastic. If they only knew the colors had nothing to do with Broncs. Nick
