Wicked First Ride Report: Rockies around Black Hawk - Mt. Evans Vstrom DL650k6

Lurking for about a year, and here is my first ride report! (Fair Warning: Not very hardcore! LoL )

After printing my route off of Google Maps, grabbing a couple McMuffins, and filling my Camelback, I was off for a great day of riding. I also wanted to test out my brand spanking new WeeStrom at some decent altitude, and see how the (also) brand new HJC Sy-Max helmet faired.

my route..

From Golden, I jumped on 93 north, and made a left on 46 and jammed out to Golden Gate Canyon State Park!

last part of the trip- down into Evergreen, zoom down 74 into Morrison!

Hmm better shoot down the mountainside! -maybe later

CO has some spectacular views..

stoppin for a powerbar and some water!

Backcountry skiiing, anyone?

They don't call it "Red Rocks" for nothin (outside Morrison, the end of the journey)

-Was a great ride today, I have been assimilated! The WeeStrom ran smoothly and has plenty of power. I am also very impressed with my new HJC Sy-Max, as it maintained a great seal, and was very quiet. Hmm now I gotta shop for some farkles.
