Kickstand switch rewire for off roading?

I read some where in this forum some one bashed their kick stand jumping a log or hopping over a boulder. In turn it damaged the kickstand switch rendering the bike in operable. Is there a re wire to loop it?How do I do this? I do have a tourtech bash plate, does it have enough protection from this happening?

Have you tried looking underneath to see if your skid plate covers the switch?

You don't have to bash it directly on a log or large rock to render it inoperative. All it takes is a small-to-medium size rock kicked up by the front wheel. That occurred to me on the way to Creel and it only took about 8 minutes to pull the wires out, twist them together and cover with duct tape. In fact, they're still overed by the same today. I suppose I should go back in and solder them properly. Or, trace back to the other end and jumper them out one of these days.

Short it at the clutch circuit and all the safeties are overridden.

Service manual is very complete about the electrical systems.
