Beautiful blue sky today over central Washington. A brisk 37 degrees, just a few degrees above freezing. Had the turkey in the oven and decided to go for a little ride. Suited up, fired up the Scrambler - it caught on the fourth try - and went for about a half an hour.
My new Joe Rocket textile riding pants kept me warm, but my jacket and gloves were not up to the job... I was fairly well frozen in short order, returned home, and am defrosting in front of the fire with a nice glass of red, along with some cheese and some venison pepperoni! The temp was enough to give me pause, but the liquid de-icer all over the roads is pretty danged slick stuff and caused me to really take it easy in turns. Phooey. Turns are why I ride! Might be getting close to time to tuck the Triumph away for a few months... |

Anyone think of switching to the larger Bonneville headlight? I'm kinda partial to headlight visors.

I went playing around on some army tank trails today, and I found a horse stable. It seems that the horses liked the bike as much as I do

Cost of the Bonneville headlight kit is $212 and each bracket is around $52. The Bonneville turn signals are mounted on the brackets.

I should have checked out the bridge before crossing it. The stringers caught me by suprise. Did you stay on the stringers or did you run in between them? Hell, I'm not using the right term for what I'm talking about either. I'm talking about the long trips on the top of the deck. Not sure what they're called. |

Home at last
Hey guys, I just brought home my new scrambler
Rode it 15km to where she will wait until I take her south for 2 weeks. I noticed that the pipes are blueish yellow ..is there anything I can do to get it back to chrome, it seems there are finger prints and wipe marks that are permanently part of the blue as well..hope not. How do I get the chrome back?As for the air injection..can I just plug the main hose from the air box and leave the air injection stuff under the tank as well as leave the tubes connected going into the chamber and carb?..they're not going to get air anyways. I need to be able to put it back on quickly for the required warranty service at 800km. Thanks in advance |

If it is carbs best to rip the whole system out , do it once do it right, , I trailered mine home & removed the AI before I ever rode it , it should not affect warranty on the rest of the bike according to my dealer, but check & make sure Can't help re restoration of chrome other than Autosol . Enjoy your new toy |

No. I have a FI Scrambler with the AI removed. It has the same function carb or FI. You may be thinking of the exhaust analysers mounted in the exhaust pipes of the FI models. .
