I put down a deposit on a black 2010 Scrambler today. I can hardly wait until April when the ice ruts will be off the roads up here.

I'm still trying to decide what changes in the exhaust and suspension I want to make. I'll probably drive it stock until after the first dealer inspection and then decide after a bit more research.

I am a youngster and all I have to say is...what is her phone number?

Seriously though I liked the Scrambler because it is neither heavy metal or a crotch rocket. I fit neither stereotype. I wanted something that would allow me to explore the vast dirt roads of America while looking good enough to ride to the office.

When they were developing the lot next to my office they had piled up big mounds of dirt next to the parking lot. Every time I would come out of work I would see them and the theme from 'The great escape' would start playing in my head. My bosses sports car became a german halftrack as I started the bike...

Folding shifter came. Looks good on the bike. It was listed as BBR folding shift lever for CRF 150/230F '03 and up. I took the option to get the 1/2" longer version which is just a wee smidgeon longer than the Scram stock shifter. Dunno about the burnished colour but I'm ok with it so far. I can always zap it with a black rattle can later.
