Filled up today after a ride of 650km holding a steady 100/110 kph , last trip meter reading 129km [ not on reserve ] just under 12 litres, averaging 100kph.
In yank speak, 143 miles using 3.17 US gallons = 45mpg. or 55 MPG in proper gallons.
07, carbed bike, standard with AI removed
Her in doors FI Bonnie is more frugal than mine when we ride together.

The lean when on side stand bugs me as well, is there a simple fix ???

Nice find 9mm, I have to take a look at mine too.
I kinda like the lean though but I should check for a broken bolt/tweaked frame mount.

That thread brought back memories cause I was with Skidplate for part of that Berkshire ride he speaks of. He was following trail bikes through the woods like it was no big deal... until there was a downed tree blocking the trail. Then it got interesting

Well my bike is certainly loud with the baffle out but I don't get any popping so I guess its had the remap.
Presumably the remap is set-up to make the most of any power gains from the Arrow exhaust. Would reverting to the standard map improve the fuel economy?
Alternatively, if I fitted a Power Commander could it be tuned for economy rather than power?

If the aftermarket exhaust flows better than the stock exhaust, then the engine will need more fuel, hence the rejetting/remapping. Rejetting leaner could well be dangerous to your engine and your wallet.

You have to fab up something in the way of a right side cover.

Hey 13, a stock Bonneville or Thruxton side cover fits right on.

You should take the bike into the dealer and ask them to "adapt" your EFI system, it wont be a huge difference but it can cause a slight increase in performance and mileage, assuming your is out of spec. To adapt your bike it will need to be cold, if you can't trailer it in then it will need to stay overnight. You can also have them check if you have the newest map version. There is alot that can be done by your dealer to tweak the mapping for you. I do not recommend a Power Commander, the stock ecu allows for alot of adjustments and adding a PC can cause alot of issues if you don't have it set up 100% correct. If you are racing your bike on the track then a PC can be useful, but on the street if causes more problems than it solves IMHO.

First really noticed the Scrambler when I purchased my Street Triple in '09.Liked it alot but wanted some thing a bit more sporty, well 2 years and 12000 miles later the Street has gone, decided wanted a more relaxed ride now and able to bimble down narrow sunny country lanes

Started reading this thread at the end of May.Have now read every page.By the end of June I had sold the Street Triple.
Picked the Scrambler up 6 weeks ago
Got the 'Arrow'. black reservoir, bash plate & locking fuel cap thrown in.
Love it,just clocked up 1000 sunny miles.

Mods to come........maybe

"black reservoir"? Is that to replace the "pee-cup"? Is it a dealer accessory? Those flat green bikes are too cool!

Hi
Yes to replace clear front brake reservoir
after reading through this thread it was one of the first things on my list to change, even better when I was able to have it fitted before collection.
The cost is about £60

Or you can go the high tech, spendy route and buy a wrist band...

or splash out and buy one with Triumph on it

It was black 18 months ago, now it's faded to a yucky brown. Have to get another. More expense...
