Rewind to efi discussion:
For the record, the Triumph web site claims there is no difference between EFI and Carbed model's power outputs. Currently the Bonne America shows Maximum Power 62PS / 61bhp / 46kW @ 6,800 rpm Maximum Torque 74Nm / 55ft.lbf @ 3,300 rpm Maximum Power 62PS / 61bhp / 46kW @ 6,800 rpm Maximum Torque 74Nm / 55ft.lbf @ 3,300 rpm Not in line with what the techie told me, but that was pre-release. Also will be '09 model year for EFI Scrambler here.

Seriously, being a CBOA member I use a handgun lock that law enforcement agencies give out for free. Small padlock and a length of cable and it works fine just to affix the helmet to the bike.

Helmet Guardian looks really practical - and hence lies the problem with my Scrambler
On my old airhead beemer, anything practical was straight on, because those bikes were donkeys - steady dependable load haulers, but not that attractive My Scrambler is dependable aswell, but too good looking! P.S. TOR's just arrived in the post from madss in the US!!! Finsih work at midnight, should i fit them then? milkman screwed with this post 05-11-2008 at 10:30 PM |

before I can accurately cost it. The steel lump I have on at the mo only adds unnecessary unsprung weight. Also the OE brake line is a little taught, so will adjust position to give a little more slack.

Hey circusinthesky, that sounds like a good solution. Would love to see a pic if you can dig one up. Unobtrusive yet handy sounds like what I'm looking for.

This ones from Motion Pro and cost me $15 bucks, I put a little electrical tape on the frame/peg mount so it wouldn't tear it up. Has worked and held up great since day one of getting the Scrambler. It holds the helmet off the ground about 6 inches. ![]()

Okay. Let's see if I can link these photos here....
Nope... okay then. Photo1 Photo2 I had to crouch down to get the lock in the photo. You cannot see it when standing. Cascade Moto Classics had two sizes of these locks, I assume for different bar sized. I think I may have used the larger size, but you'd have to check. Anyway, I like it.

Circus & UP N MTNS, looks like you both have the same basic helmet lock just mounted in different spots. Circus, I like yours best I think because it's well hidden under the seat. I'll look into that. I think I've seen a similar lock behind the parts counter at the local dealer.
I would assume those locks are for 7/8" bar/tubing? The Jerk screwed with this post 05-12-2008 at 06:18 PM |
