I haven't found one w/ a mount on the right side. I just drilled a couple of holes and used small zip ties to hold a cap from the left guard. These were from an 85cc KTM. Not the cleanest looking setup, but untill it breaks it's fine for me. So far it lasted over 10,000 miles.

Hey man, ya done good, from a distance they look great! I've got the same guards and considered the same setup - either way requires drilling and zip ties.

So my 950 has just turned 1yr old and for it's birthday I gave it a dyno run at Road America.

I've got just over 16,000 miles on it now so I figured what the heck, let see what it's got.


I was at Road America, for the races this weekend and got my 950 run on the dyno just see were it was at jetting wise. MCM of West Bend, WI had a pretty cool trailer dyno setup there.

My setup was:

-Stock jetting
-air screws turned out what ever the manual says. can't remember exactly.
-paper stock filter, could have been slightly clogged. had about 6,000 miles mix on/offroad.
-Uni Prefilter.
-FMF pipes
-SAS plates and canectomy done.

It ran so fat on the air fuel mixture it was barely on his graph. It was about 10:1

at 2,500rpm it was 15.5:1
than at 4,000-9,600 it was btw 10:1 and 11:1

RWHP was 81.3
torque was 58.5

So I pulled the prefilter and got a second pull.

It ran much better.

AF mixture at 2,500 was about 14:1
at 4,000-9,600 it was btw 12:1 and 13:1

RWHP was 84.7
torque was 59.5

I've got a dyno printout I just have to scan it in tonight.

This was done in WI at Elkhart Lake, so I guess elevation may be somewhere around 500-1000ft.

I was pretty surprised by this as I was thinking I had been running lean w/o the prefilter, b/c of the pipes and no jet mods, but it felt fine when I rode it.

For now I guess I'll just use the prefilter when I know I'll be riding offroad in a group.

Hey cj you making those spark plug wrenches for profit yet? I know you have the skills and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only interested party. I just got my 04 950 and am getting it ready for a baja trip this fall with a stop in Creel for the HU meeting. Would like to have one of your handy creations added to the tool kit. BTW, nice ride.
