DL1000 street-fighter conversion?
A while back on ADVrider there were a few pictures posted of a V-strom street-fighter conversion where the owner stripped off most everything (front fairing, side-panels, rear rack, etc). Just wondering if anyone still had those pictures or a link to the post. Thanks!

Made an ugly bike look worse in my opinion. That is - if this is the thread in question.
I've heard long wheelies starve the Strom's engine of oil. This true? http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...t=naked+dl1000

Holy damn that bike is ugly... my eyes are still bleeding. No, actually there was a post about a german rider who took his silver DL and did something similar, but went much farther with the weight reduction and used a single round headlight among other things. Looked far cleaner...
Also, does anyone know of any rearsets or peg adjusters for the DL? The peg positioning isn't bad except for being too low, so I end up scraping the pegs constantly. Edit: Actually, on the 4th or 5th page is the bike that I was thinking about. Thanks much! Now I just need to find some higher pegs and I'll be golden. I'd buy a wilburs shock. You can raise the rear height while gaining massive performance.
