While Gina and Company spent the day on the river and beach (beautiful day) I went to BMW Portland and signed up for demo rides! They (BMW USA) were getting their bikes serviced yesterday and spent today doing the demo rides. These bikes will be used at the rally for demo's.

So, I rode the K13000S - comfort and power! I was hanging with a guy trying out the S100RR. He'd let the leader get ahead and rip it up to him - I was in 2nd and when he went - I went. No clutch up shift on those two bikes. I could hang pretty good when he hit it. After the ride I found out he had it in like 4th when he was doing that!

I had the time, so next I went out on the S1000RR. DAMN!!!! DAMN!!!!

The ride leader was in front of me and said that when we turn around he would hit it pretty hard on the on ramp and might get small in a hurry - and that was our cue to see what the bikes got. Well, needless to say, he hit it and went though 3-4 gears, and I stayed in 2nd and just about ran up his six! 193HP. The clutchless up shift is smooth!

Demo rides done, hit the one vender there and got a new pair of earplugs made. Was gonna do that at the rally, now more time for other things. It was time to hit the river with Gina. Her sis has a Sea Doo... One of those snow machines for the water. It only has a 1500cc, supercharged rotax motor. Puts out 215 HP.. DAMN again! That thing is sweet!

Okay, hungry now. Time for pizza and beer. See all at the Rally if you are going!

Just got off the Columbia fishing Steelhead. Actually got a Jack King we are eating tonight. Caught numerous steelhead - most of them native fish so we had to release them. Can only keep hatchery fish... Fun day!

Today was a Beezer ride if I ever saw one!!! We have a TW200 for a couple of days and went in search of the Natural Pool. It was like miles of Palmer creek - the last part up the shale! Crazy but fun - I will post some pics soon... Riding down to snorkel tomorrow - just grilled a couple of steaks after having sangria's watching the sun set! "Life is Good" is an understatement.
