I've been following the 'cush hub' thread.
I just got a 2006 XR650R, totally stock. Can I get a cush hub from you? Do you ship internationally? Any idea of price, or do I call? Thanks |

Getting ready to send to you the 17" & 19" rims off of my '95 Triumph Tiger for tubeless conversions. What's the current pricing for this & the estimated turnaround time? Thanks!

we advise to have your wheels trued up/spokes re-tensioned prior to doing that,,,,because there's agood chance that the seal will be broken/compromised if you turn your nipples after the sealant sets up truing runs circa $35-55 depending on how out of wack they are turnaround time 3-4days

Hey Woody...XL500s 23" front wheel...
I am currently rebuilding a 1980 Honda XL500s which has a 23" DID front wheel from the factory. I have two of the wheels and both of them have probably never been maintained. Both appear to be straight but I haven't run a dial indicator on them to see. I did have a dealer tell me a few years ago...before I started this rebuild...that the axle might be bent and the wheel as well.
Any suggestions or ideas? I really don't want to mess around with retrofitting a 21" wheel and disk brakes as I'm trying to leave the bike fairly stock. I suppose I could always have the original hub relaced to a 21" rim...hmmmm. Thanks!

Drz400sm
I have 2005 DRZ400SM and would like to change to an 18 inch wheel to be able to use a dirt orientated tire. I already have a 21 inch for the front. What would you recommend and about how much am I looking at.
Thanks fierros |

a few suggestions...
Quote:
a few drops of liquid wrench on every nipple ie where the spoke goes in the nipple several times around ,,,let it sit for a day and attempt to true it or get someone that knows what they are doing true it for you,,,BTW,,true means that the wheel shouldn't hop or wobble more than 1/16'' regarding your ''bent axle'',,,it is real easy to tell too!!! just do what's necessary to be at the point where you can rotate the axle,,,rotate it one revolution,,,watch your wheel in relation to the fork tubes or swingarm,,,if it doesn't move left/right it's straight,,if you see it go into orbit,,,pull the axle and get it straightened or replace with a straight one...see????pretty simple,,ehhh???
