Will it clear the brake caliper when the suspension bottoms?

Compatible with Happy Trails

I cannot tell if the box will fit with Happy Trails metal panniers that have fairly substantial mounts. Anyone have any idea? Also, is it available in the U.S.?

Waterproof????

Does it leak, doesn't look sealed at the door, wouldn't be good if you're tools are soaking in H20!!!

Any idea if it would work with the Touratech mounts or Jesse mounts?

Hi Foxford1 - we're the North American importer for DS Bike Protection parts, and an application for the new GSW (both with Touratech racks and without pannier racks) will be available shortly! It will be announced in our Vendor thread here and available on our website at www.advmotorrad.com. My guess is between 2-4 weeks for availability at this point, and I'll post some pictures of the box up later this week....lots of updates and revisions since the "Gen I" box seen earlier in this post!

Thanks.....

Looking for an update on the DS tool case for '14 GS. Didn't see one on your site or on the vendor thread.

Hi Ducmon - we've got them on order for the standard GS LC with Touratech racks, and I just saw the first pics of the GSAW application mounted up. I'm out of town this week but expect to have both listed on the website this weekend and will post pics both here and in our main Vendor forum thread.

I'll see if I can get a better idea of ETA, but probably still a few more weeks to arrive from Spain.

Thanks!

I didnt see where there was an answer to the question about being waterproof. I also see that the door does not look like it would seal well.

Hi gregp - I would consider the current boxes water resistant versus waterproof. If you need something to say 100% dry, a couple of Ziploc storage bags will go a long way towards making that happen, and they can be easily replaced for pennies when they wear out. DS Bike has partnered up with a company in Spain to make dry-bag inserts that we're looking into importing (Customs requirements may make this tricky), and they are also looking at a new door design to improve waterproofness. The new door (when available - no ETA yet) will increase production costs, so the cost of the box will rise slightly, but we will also offer the new doors at cost as a retrofit kit for any customers with the prior generation boxes.

Hope that helps...any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks...
