I'm going to be redoing my suspension this year. I'd be interested in a kit.

Did you have to turn down or cut the OD of the black inner spring guides/bottoming cone struts for clearance on the ID of those springs? Mine did not clear the ID of the .64's when compressed, and I just recently found that the springs had pulled one of them out of the fork cap top locknut(it's just a knurled ID in the counterbore of the nut and a press-fit of the plastic strut into that, but still)...it wasn't an issue in reality, but having it floating on the damper rod shaft probably wasn't ideal.

FWIW, I had to skin about .080" off of the OD of the struts/guides to be sure the spring would clear, but still keep it from kinking on compression.

How much static preload do the springs have(with the adjuster all the way backed out)?
Yes, machined down the spring guides to suit the compressed diameter, just as you have had to. Static pre-load, cannot remember of the top of my head but can confirm.

Right, listen up folks. This was a pretty massive undertaking to get it all sorted with the machining required etc. If I can get 5 people genuinely interested, I will put a price together for complete sets of 320mm suspension. Because I do not have the time to do this (with my Dakar effort etc.) I will work with my long standing suspension guy (who incidentally is building my Dakar suspension) to pull the price and kit together to make this happen. We have all the detailed drawings and part numbers required to make it happen. We will probably do it as a sale only, no exchange. I.e. you buy the suspension complete from us and then sell your suspension after if you wish. Easier than people being without suspension and time pressures etc.

Let me know your thoughts all.

Hi Pyn,

I'd be interested in a kit subject to final pricing.

Keen to hear how it goes off road too.

I too might be interested, following full component specs and pricing.
'Was thinking about going with the complete Ohlins TTX setup, but as there's no bolt-on kit available (to my knowledge), and lacking the personal resourcefulness of PowerCell, I don't see that happening to my SE anytime soon...

Subject to pricing I'm in. If you're happy with it on and off road I'll be fine with it.

The old story will continue as the 950 needs a bit of work this week! However......

A new story begins..........

......and as a result, I need to free up some cash!

I also have a second set of 320mm suspension for the 950 for sale to try and raise some funds for Dakar, please PM me if you are interested. It's exactly the same specification as mine, full 320mm front AND REAR with adjustable pre-load and orange spring. Can change spring rates to your spec. PM me if you are serious only as I don't have a lot of time spare. This is pretty special, I don't think anybody else has done this yet.

I also have a ton of other stuff including engine parts, all going on the 950 flea market soon. Just wanted to let my followers on this thread know first.
