Sorry, but it is in GERMAN.

If you mail me, I will mail the owner and ask if he would sent it to England. But I must say that if you mail the selling person in english you get a english reply.

Translation;
the year is 2006, it is the original polished version, in a good shape, If you need more parts you can mail him. No waranty and return right like EU law says. If you donot like that donot bid.

e-mail an verkaufer senden; means send e-mail to seller

I think I remember ridewest had an incident with overloaded bike cracking after hiting a ditch or hiting a ditch after cracking and losing control.
I assume we can say this is because the bike was stretched outside its operational envelope?

When Dakar was on Speed a few years back it looked like the bikes were torn down and rebuilt every night. I remember seeing a mechanic cutting spokes with a bolt cutter so they could rebuild the wheels quickly.

I think Pyn should cut the center section of that swing arm out and replace it with a cnc machined billet piece. We know he could do it.

Eek New bucket please Mr. KTM.....

Anyone ever had this??

Just found it when doing the valve clearances. I have a new one on the way. It turns out they revised this item too since the early days.

The others have the typical 'whitness circle' where the cam rubs but this one has mysteriously began to score. No marks on the cam whatsoever, I'm thinking debris caused it and its gone away now??

That to me, looks like a fault in the casting and not one from the way the bike was used.

230 miles before low fuel light.......

270+ Miles on a tank of gas......

Cheers to that Ned

Here's how it happened......

So it's been a while since I last posted so I've got a bit rusty, bit like my 950

One cold, wet and wintery Saturday morning a package arrived on the doorstep, and with no further a do, Pyndon jumped into action.

Manufactured a quick dummy shock to simulate fully bottomed condition (thanks James for the info), fitted a 45 rear sprocket and set to work making a Neduro SE aux fuel tank fit the Adventure.

Had to raise the tank to clear the chain as the silencer / tank mount is lower on the ADV than the SE. Ditched the silencer mount and fettled everyting (literally) until the thing worked. There was no option, the tank WAS going on that day, come hell or high water!!

Sparks flew as dad cut metal....

Pyndon got the fireworks underway with the mig....

Some trimming here.......

Some welding there......

A reshaping of the subframe gussets....

And things began to take shape....

Quick check with the old luggage racks.....

One final clearnace check....

A little more fettling....

The mounts....

The leftovers

Looking good.....

A quick side stand modification......

And a tool holder mounted under the silencer to on the opposing side to balance the weight of the tank and provide low down easy access tool storage (you can just see it in the pic below if you look hard enough).

Good to go.

Oh, and another new Seat from Mr Renazco

Maybe I'll get round to washing it one day Then again, maybe not

Pyn
