Another one in the Smoky Mtns

I'm in Newport, near the NC line off I-40, and ride one of the last edition ( 06 )R1150 Adventures. Just got back from a four day ride through Louisiana and Arkansas. Eastinbmar is a buddy, but I'm too slow in the curves for him. For a pleasant ride on Sunday afternoons we sometimes ease over to Steady Eddy's coffee shop about five miles on the east side of Hot Springs, NC., or eat a great barbecue sandwich down at the Smokehouse in Hartford where all the rafters are.

Poke around this web site http://natra.dirtrider.net/ They meet in Huntsville and have several rides and events throughout the year on leased and public land.

it still baffles me how nobody's gotten a Nashville, etc. message board up yet.

Smyrna here...err the one in Rutherford County. Who exactly thought it would be a good idea to put at least 5 Smyrnas in Tennessee in 5 different counties? that your idea Sscratch?

i'm always up for a DS ride if i can find one around here...usually have to resort to construction sites (they never seem to mind). always up for the twistees too!

Yea ....This thread is another attempt of mine to meet and greet like minded riders. Its hard to get people together in this area. I have tried in all kinds of different circles. This year and last, I have discovered the joys of solo riding. Solo riding makes you less tolerant of people when you can just go and do your thing without any hassle. Ya need someone there when ya crash though right.... or do ya?

Yeah that is a very good reason . I found back in Fla before I joined the Suncoast Flatlanders a local 4X4 club, I would solo wheel in many areas but rode with more reserve knowing it could be a long walk out if I got high centered. then after I hooked up I tended to be the guy that you always heard on the radio calling for a pull to get me out. and considering I Bronco was fully loaded I was ussually stuck BAD.
Plus we as a club went to places I probly would not have gone on my own mainly cause others knew about them. I just never thought to wheel there.

anyway keep at it, it can be very worth it
