Fantastic, Gene! It looks like it was well worth the wait. How do you like it? Did you receive the car cover?

We'll need to get together again, but with rigs next time, instead of pickups and empty trailers

Hey guys, I’m happy I stumbled onto this, I need to be sure to get in on any daytrips around Mid-Tn.

I'm also trying to cover all of the backroads @ LBL, if anyone feels the need to get in a little off-road action. A bunch of the legal roads are used in the LBL 200 Dual-Sport event in Sept, and are very challenging on the big bikes.

Is anyone planning on going to Renfro Valley for the dual-sport in early May?

Well i figure I will post up again here since it has been over a year since I was on this thread (or ADVr). Name's Kathy. I live just west of Nashville and have been riding for 4 years now on the street and about a year in the dirt. I am the proud owner of some small displacement toys that are just a blast to ride. I have a ninja 250 and an XT225 DS. I also picked up one BIG GIRL toy last year and am looking to put as many miles on it this year as I can. I work from home and have a flexable schedule so let me know if anyone wants to hit the streets or the dirt.

Me on my "new" toy up on TOTD.

Alpine Mountain Area?

Has anyone ridden the Alpine Mountain area? SE of Livingston and NE of Monterey.

Looking on the DeLorme topo maps it's showing quite a few dirt roads and mountain ridges.

Any info on the type of riding there would be appreciated.

New to this board.

Just picked up a '75 beemer. Once it's roadworthy....2-3 weeks give or take, I'd love to find some folks to take some rides with.

Hmmm Sounds very cool. I LOVE watching the rally races on TV. I will have to mark that one on my calendar. Thanks for the heads up (and the bike comment as well ).

Not since last saturday. We ride through there quite frequently. The "roads you see are rough logging roads at best and at worst some quad rutted out fairly tight stuff. There are some decent old trails around but they are pretty challanging in places. Very Very Very rocky, steep, and washed out. I don't know what your riding. No new fresh singletrack that I've found. Can't keep the quads off of it. All private land so best to respect the existing trails/roads. You can have some fun around here but as always it's best to go with someone who knows it. Nothing is numbered or named. Sometimes the road signs are torn down so it's hard to give directions. Banjos softly begin to play in the background.

Thanks Jake. Great info. xr650r is what I would be riding there, average riding skills. Opinions?
