Creel to Parral in November

In mid November do you think the roads between Creel and Parral will be ok as far as snow/ice for street bikes? The route is so awesome I would prefer not to travel down the other roads that I know will be ok but not as scenic.

From Parral south I don't see too much problem.

Comments and suggestions?

I have been in Creel on Thanksgiving with 6 inches of snow on the road to the Batopilas turn off. It turned to ice in the morning but melted quickly.

Has anyone seen snow on this road on an earlier date?

Jesus. I'm planning on being there in January... 6" of snow isn't normal, is it? It's one thing to play in the snow on a dirt bike, but I don't really want to ride a 650 with luggage in 6" of snow 2500 miles from home. Hmmm.

Creel weather

I was there 3 years ago in early Feb. Snow storm 2 days before we arrived. Roads were clear, a few patches of ice and lots of snow in the hills. Chilly in the am... Went last November, beautiful days, crisp mornings, chilly nights, no snow or rain. Went again this last Feb. Had to look for patches of snow, warm days. You just don't know what it will be like until the week or so before you leave. It is all good regardless. Novemeber is usually great and Feb can be cold. Go for it and bring an electric liner/heattroller.......

January I would be a little concerned about and would have an alternate plan, just in case. Glad to hear comments on November and since it is the first couple of weeks in the month, hopefully all will be well.

I was there first couple weeks of last November. It dropped below freezing and at times had ice on the bike in the morning. All the roads, including the one you menion, were clear of snow/ice (not necessarily clear of donkies and cows) when I was on them.

Have a good trip and be safe.
