The Swamp...

80 miles west of Orlando and 40 miles north of Clearwater at SR-50 and US-19 in Weeki Wachee

The old mobile home, an ongoing project that I see no end to is a bit rustic...

As a beer camp should be

But with central AC/Heat, two bedrooms and full kitchen/bath.

The floor is uncovered plywood, so dirty feets can't hurt much. A wet vac is for when it gets so bad you can't stand it

There's also a dryer for wet gear, ask Mr. Cob

and a washer still in need of being hooked-up

Just like The Scrub I like to say it's one step above camping

Although I do have to keep the place such that HoJo will tolerate it every so often

Located on 350 feet of rural highway frontage that backs up to the Chassahowitzka Nat'l Wildlife Refuge, the locals on the flood plain refer to my camp as The Hill seeing that it's located atop the first sand dune east of the Gulf of Mexico along SR-50

Saturdays the highway brings a continous stream of boats being trailered to local ramps

And at times there's literally hundreds of Harley riders thundering by, each in search of an ice cold beer at The Bayport Inn

All summer, bikini clad babes shriek in ecstacy as they pass on their way to Pine Island beach

For additional sleeping there's a 12x12 guest room, The Love Shack in the shed and also a small 1970's Scotty travel trailer, the Derfmobile

Both have AC/heat An additional shower/comode is in the utilty room

Fried mullet roe and fillets for Johnny Quest

Outside Kitchen

Room can be made for bikes inside too if need be

Firepit with cooking grate and plenty of wood

Charcoal Grill and propane cooker too

No internet but the local library is only two miles away

No cable but there's plenty of DVDs for the small TV in the mobile home

All amenities are available from groceries to restaurants on US-19/SR-50

Pool Hall and conveniece store both within walking distance

Closest Bike Shop is KTM/Triumph within three miles; Kawi, Suzuki, Yamaha within seven and Honda is about 10

A local delicacy, stone crab season runs from Oct. 15th through March and we, the local ADVers have been known to eat our fill a few times here each year

I keep a key to the private neighborhood park onsite along with a canoe and kayak. Let me know if you want to paddle the river, truly one of my favorite things

Of course when it's cold as a beyotch out there's practically no one that uses the park. The water in the first magnitude spring fed river stays a constant 72 degrees and actually feels warm during the winter once the air temp dips below about 50 This is the first privately owned parcel down river from the famous attraction

Plenty of good riding in the area, both DS and street In fact there's a steady line of bikes traveling through the Citrus Game Reserve here by the house at The Farm too.

Check the links in my sig for additional info and photos. For dates of local ADV get-togethers, Scrub rallies and Swamp parties see link below:

Tent space, secure parking, shop, tools, coffee, adult beverages and a MC trailer in the original OC............that would be Oregon City, just south of Portland Oregon.

I'm sorry to say that I can't seriousely offer dry space. But tentspace on an extremely nice campsite, as well as beer and food while showing you around will be on me, that's no question. Pls PM me as early as possible in advance.

I have great tent camping site, right next to a pond, with a small creek and fire circle, all with incredible views available on my property just 8 miles from Vermont exit 4, off I-91. Also there is a shop for maintenance if you need it. Drop me a line if you are thinking of stopping by.

Nice idea!

I've a spare double bedroom 50 km North of Lisbon, Portugal. No garage, but my bike sleeps outside too without problems. If you need to work on the bike a garage can be sorted. Fridge is usually empty, but you're invited to share whatever's inside it :)

Edit: There's a friendly dog around and a newborn child just made her appearance which can make it hard to accommodate you but get in touch anyway, we have welcomed advriders in the past and really enjoyed it.

Welcome to Portugal!

The Casa del Perro tent space is available again!

We are about 20 miles north of Santa Fe, NM, near Rt. 76 and Rt. 84/285. Good access to the High Road to Taos.

Plenty of covered space for you and your bikes. Garage has tools and tire changing equipment.
Lots of flat, grassy tent space area, or you can have use of the guest bedroom & bath.

We do share our space with dogs and cats, in case you are allergic.

Please give us several days or a week's notice. We may be out riding too!

Kamp Kraut has tent space, small garage, truck/trailer, tools/lift, cold beer...which quite a few Advriders have enjoyed over the years.

I'm in the country thirty minutes west of Daytona, campers are no problem, so .

Deland, FL

OK, crap. You FF's can stay here if ya like. My place sucks. Nothing like the great shops and land posted by others. And I am a sorry host. Bring yer own beer, sleep on the floor or in the backyard. My music collection sucks so don't even think of uploading any of it.

I've had a few ADVriders stay here and they all say they will never come back. I don't blame them. But if you need a place to stay at the crossroads of the south, give me a shout.

That would be Denton, Texas. 30 miles north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metromess.

In the end, it's all about the stories

I'm a little north of Baton Rouge Airport and a little south of Slaughter, LA. I've got three extra acres for lots of camping, but pretty bare conditions right now.

Carport and Basic Tools
Tire Changing / Oil Changes not a problem
Have truck and trailer if recovery is necessary
Internet / WiFi
UPS / FedEx (inbound tires / parts)
Washer and Dryer, Bathroom, Shower (if you're nice to the boss)
Fuel and ATM close by (@ 1/2 mile)
Camping in back yard for a couple of tents if needed
Also dogs always around
