Well 40 mi with omidirectional winds, always a head wind we finally get a tail wind about 1 1/2 mi from the house. we did it in 2:40 which was great considering how windy it was.

indeed, I'm so sick of the reichwingnuts that populate our local newspaper 'comments' section saying they'll share the road with cyclists when cyclists have licenses and pay road use taxes like they do.

If I may add most bicyclists probaby pay more in taxes. ( in that bicycling is an very expenisive sport) considering most bicycles cost what a good used car cost. and most of us own 2 or 3 (or in some cases 25 ).

About $9000 for the frame only. I built 2 of them for a couple that lives in Vail. They wanted them to ride on the rail trails there. I can't remember what the total was exactly but in the neighborhood of $30k for 2 bikes.

I make sure my knees brush my TT every pedal stroke. I'm skeered what them sharp things would do to my inner thighs!

Surprisingly better than I expected. Legs were on fire after the triple header last weekend and that's an unusual thing for me to feel pain after a race. The recovery ride Monday and last night's sufferfest was probably the best thing for them.

I try to average at least 30 miles per day Mon-Thurs. and as many as I can on the weekends I'm not racing (which is not often right now). I need some hill time in to get ready for Blood, Sweat and gears in a little over a month.

I probably should include that I had to repair a fuel pump issue for a few $100, and new rims and tires for about $600 and installed a trailer hitch, and have bought some suspension bits (heavy duty springs in back, swaybars front and rear, and new bilsteins and some poly bushings) that I've yet to install, and I knew going into it that it was going to need a new head gasket eventually ($1000), so its really a $5000 used car. when all is said and done.

with a yakima rack (already had 90% of it, got the towers on craigslist cheap), and a hitchrack, I could carry 6 bikes on this baby in style, and a ton of sag gear...
