AFAIK.

It's a Givi. My experience with Givi is that they are good, but you run them in the lowest position (as I did on R1150GS). This actually looks really nice fitted, with the beak extension to balance it out. The winglets took about 5 min to do, and it all looks quite good. The extension is an genuine GSA item, about AUD$100. Get the longer screws if you do, you need them. Sig hier.

BTW the ram mount is now fitted to the gauge protection bar for my GPS60CSx. it fits nicely under the screen.

I was thinking of getting black side covers (or painting these ones) and some driving lights.
Thanks
I'm thinking of getting the beak extension to stop my tools and screws rolling off when I'm fixing/removing something.
Good idea with the Ram, I run a 60Cs, same as the Csx but no SD card.
There's a Gold Coast inmate whose vinyl wrapped his side covers, looks really cool and easy and if you dont like it it peels off.
I run Hella FF50 driving lights on home made brackets

Wow. The dealership I go to in Denver-*cough*Foothills*cough*-said it was $84 for the parts alone plus an hour to install for a total of $181. Clearly I need to order my BMW parts from Chi-town!

Are the '05 to '06 winglets different than the '07 to '09 winglets?

I'm looking to put the winglets on a '09 1200GS special edition.
I understand these were for the adventures.
I looked at A&S Cycles and Bob's websites and found the parts. Both sites have different part numbers depending on the year.

Are they actually different parts or are they just getting more money from us?

Do yourself a favor--order the ones Cee Bailey makes. Costs less, sturdier, all needed hardware is included. I got 'em, work great on my 2010 GS!

+1 on the Cee Bailey's call them up and see if they are still giving the discount on windshields and their WINGLETS. They are a little thicker thus a stronger unit.............checkout the below item.............

Cee Bailey Winglets

No doubt about it. The winglets really cut back on the noise and buffeting. I put CBs on my 2010 GS and really like them. Best farkle money spent to date. - Bob

Thanks for the replies!

I was leaning towards the BMW winglets because it seems like they look a little sharper than the CBs, but it tough to really tell in the pics offered online.
Looks like most of you are purchasing the CBs.

Is there much difference?

The CBs are a bit larger. They are clean and clear, but admittedly do not look quite as nice as the BMW ones. I went for the CBs myself, and they were great!

I just ordered the BMW ones from Bob's because the CBs were about the same price when you included shipping and tax.

Thanks for your help!!

I installed BMW winglets, and I'm disappointed. It seemed that noise increased with them, but it could be because of a wind that day. I removed one of the winglets and rode for tow more days. I felt no difference whatsoever in airflow around the helmet's right and left sides. I could feel a calm air when placing my hand directly behind the winglet, but I didn't find it beneficial. Once I rod in a rain, and both sides of my jacket were equally wet. I previously installed visibility lights in the handguards, and they are reflected by the winglets.

I just did the winglets and although not blown away, am happy with the cost vs improvement. (it was $70 ish notice the creep from the first post )

I have the GSA stock screen with the TT extender and am 6' with a shark evoline 2 helmet. I found the windscreen was either noisy or turbulent I could never seem to find something right with or without the extender.

I found the winglet cut the body buffeting/turbulence hugely. Given here in TX the wind is always blowing that was a welcome relief.

I set the screen at it's lowest height and (noise setting) and have found it much quieter than it was. Very nice to have NO turbulence rattling my melon. The noise is probably low enough that I can live with it set here. I will play with it through the range now to find an optimal angle but the winglets seem like they are a reasonable investment.

Max BMW had it all in stock by the way. Shipped the next day...
